Welcome to the forum. Yes the later parts are compatible. If your forks are leaking, you probably just need new seals. They are around $10.00, and are easy to change. The round top carbs are very easy to rebuild. You would pay big bucks, for a good bolt on, and go set of carbs.
Watch out, for the wheel deals on ebay. A lot of those auctions are by tasclassicmotorsports. I have had problems with them, and do not recommend them. I would check with Cycle one, for them. Just give them a call. They will get anything, you want/need.
