Turn Signals (aftermarket)

I put bullet style  turn lamps on my bike. when you hit left or right they do not blink. They are 12volt 10w. do I need to replace the flasher. They are a one wire set up. Grounds to the frame i am assuming. What do I do with the old ground I connect it to the blinker and nothing.  Any help would be great.
