When you say it seems under powered,you mean the spark looks weak?If its not bright blue and gives and good sharp "snap" you may need to charge the battery real good,or even use a start/boost setting on a charger.If you boost charge the battery and still have weak spark I'd suspect weak coils if all of the connections are real clean and tight.You wouldnt think they both die together.Just my two cents
