See now that is odd. I filled mine from the top. It did take a few minutes to make it to the caliper but not too long.
Both holes in the master must be clear. I fill my master, and slowly pump and each time I pull the lever, I hold it for a bit. While the other guys have what sounds to be a better way, it took about 5 minutes to fill the caliper. From there, it was standard bleeding.
