Well the anti sieze didnt last so i put actual "disc brake quiet" silicone grease on it.That didnt help either. There must be a solution.I have done every trick in the book!
Greased the pads
Piston is sliding freely
Swing joint is swing jointing
Grooved the pads
Chamfered the pads
873 different adjustments on the adj screw
Would having the rotor surfaced do any good?I have a brake lathe, but haven't look to see of i have something that will allow me to chuck it up.
There must be something i can do.I am considering baking the brake fluid out of my old pucks and re-using them. They were silent. The best i can figure is there is a difference in compound creating the noise. These pads stop waaaay better which would lead you to believe they are a harder pad,but my old ones were so wet with fluid its no a fair comparison.Has anyone had experience with Bikemaster pads being noisy before?Who makes a good stopping quiet pad.Eric at the bike shop has a bucket full of calipers off of some newer model bikes salvaged from wrecked bikes.I'll swap out the whole shooting match if need be,but ireally like the looks of these calipers.
