thinking about getting a 2nd bike to work on

So, I'm thinking about getting a second bike to work on during the summer, as I will want my 750 as a daily commuter.  Once I get the 2nd running I could then really focus on the 750 and make it the bike I want while the 2nd bike was my commuter.

What do you guys think about something like this?
