 I actually own both (75 cb750 and 83 cb1000).From 79-83, the cb's (750,900,1000) ran a different frame from the 70's. the dohc sits up higher, so the frame sort of slopes over the engine, going into almost a dropped seat stature. The70's sohc frame sits straight and parallel with the ground. Im not sure how the 90's frames are set up, but as far as the 70's and 80's go, they are completely different frames.
