Ok, turns out they DO have a slot for a standard screwdriver. There was gunk down in there so it only looked like a hole in the middle. This discovery has only helped me somewhat.
I was able to get a screwdriver that fit down in there, but I was only able to get 2 jets out. They were really jammed in there and required all of my body weight on the screwdriver to get them out. This is after I let them soak in blaster

I had no luck with the other 2. I tried tapping the end of the screwdriver with a hammer while turning. The top of that jet is now obliterated. The other problem jet is gnarled to the point where there is no more slot left for the screwdriver.

Please help me save my carbs!
