I have been using a clear filter with the sintered bronze element in them. I went to replace a leaky bowl gasket and found a little pool of debris,probably rust, in the bottom of the bowl. I checked and the other three were the same. So,they are apparently not the best ones to use. I believe I will invest in a paper element filter tomorrow per Sarge's never failing info. BTW,I like the new avatar Sarge
