Sounds like kinked cables cause jumping so I'd inspect it and maybe a replacement cable would fix it if it annoys you.

My speedo does ok,but my tach jumps real bad anywhere above 6-6500. The faster I am accelerating the harder it jumps. Wasn't trying to hi-jack,figured it might be related issues.
