Did you wash the bike before you started working on it? biggest mistake I made, ha, chased all over why the bike wasn't starting on my '81 cb750 and finally took the ignition cover off only to find foam caused by the water mixing with the oil. Sprayed some electronic contact cleaner in there and fired right up
