On my Integra, for my oil pressure I mounted it off the block with a T. I also have my oil feed for my turbo - which needs all sorts of oil - off that same T. In fact. the long 'leg' of the T where you'd think little pressure is, is where the line comes off for the turbo.
So it can't be hard for it to pressurize. It may take a few extra seconds for the oil to get up there, but its not really a bad set-up. If you want, I'll get you a picture of what I'm talking about. It's a tuner toys oil fitting.
