That might just work.The temp gauge i have has a sensing bulb just like you would expect to see on a water temp gauge,so I need something about 2" deep to hold that bulb.
Piute,for the pressure gauge i used the port right above the the points cover.See where the gauge is? Except now the gauge is on the bars (impossible to monitor down by your ankles).I used this kit to run the line up to the gauge.Can't beat it for $20- http://www.speedwaymotors.com/Braided-Pressure-Gauge-Line-Kit,4147.html
