Gap is actually supposed to be set at stock however, people have been able to go up some. NGK actually says to NOT change the gap as you may damage the plug. The center electrode is so fine that it can be broken easily. So if you DO gap them, be super careful to not touch the electrode.
Stock sohc gap is about .028, this would be about the middle.
