Did you download the manual from this site? It should have a diagram on there. If you have wires burning then you have way too much power going through them or wires are touching things they shouldnt. There is 4 fuses in my 1981 CB750K and most people on here have said the SOHC bikes have 3 fuses so you might just have the wrong diagram/
