I  tried to show, the ports of the intake manifold are angled inward a bit.  I ordered a set of stock intake manifolds before i realized what i had so i do have those on hand.

Here is the Mikuni 29mm (VM29) carbs that came with the bike.  They were Jerry rigged up to the engine by some random little pipe bits wedged in some dry rotting rubber.
