Update -
Thank you all for the warm welcome! Im having a great time cleaning the garage and getiing into the bike.
I took off the backrest and luggage rack and listed on ebay - this week I'll list the exhaust, tail-light, and air-box. I'm trying to do the project with $1000-$1500.
This morning I ordered a 4 to 1 exhaust (Honda supersport - H344 - $56
and a Vintage Super Trapp muffler - $47
both E-bay and both will need re-conditioned - but I'm stoked I'll make them sound and then flat-black
Need to recondition the carb boots - will spear mint oil work instead of "wintergreen"? I've read you can mix the two and boil (simmer) for 45 min to 2 hours...
Soaking the carbs in gas and seafoam - wondering if I should just pay the motorcycle guy to rebuild?
Any suggestions for cleaning the gas tank? No rattling and no leaking but there appears to be a little rust visible.
Also any ideas for a fuel filter? It doesn't have 1. And here's a crazy idea - what about 1 of those old glass fuel filter/seperators? Im I crazy? I just think it would look cool....
Thanks for your help guys! Having the time of my life....
