I know you posted this a while but, just an fyi: you don't need to clean 'em for DOT 3 to DOT 4. It's only 5 you have to clean 'em out for. DOT 3, 4, 5.1 are all same base-fluid, so they mix well. DOT 5 is the funky stuff.
