Cool, glad you got it working, although I am not quite sure how far you advanced the ignition or if it's a good thing to do, maybe it was just totally out of whack to begin with? I had the bolts that attach the starter gear to the shaft come loose on their own before, so it could be possible the ignition was retarded or got retarded, have you tried timing it in according to the fsm?
