First of all, howdy and thanks for providing me with a forum to discuss my "new" bike. Here's my dilemma. 1980 CB750C, 32k miles, forks are super squashy. First order of business would be change the fork oil, if indeed there is any to replace. But, I can't get the top nuts off! I've used liquid wrench type stuff, a wrench with a cheater bar and, of course, the obligatory pottymouth every time it didn't work. I'm using a bolt with a 17mm head with 2 nuts jammed onto it. So far, I have succeeded in gorking out a couple of the corners of one of the nuts. Surely there must be a trick to this. I am willing to try anything, up to and including burying chicken bones at a crossroads at midnight.
