Tire width and performance (front)

Hey guys, I'm getting some new tires and thought I would ask ya'll for opinions.
I had a 100/90/19 kenda in the front which I am thinking of replacing with a 110/90/19 shinko.
I am not worried about the fit as I will be running wider forks off of a CBR sport bike, but I was wondering how a wider front tire would affect the handling/grip/cornering, etc.

What are your thoughts?
