I could probably get above 40mpg if I tried but what fun would that be! :))))

Anyway, get your bike tuned up, install NGK Iridium Spark Plugs (fire near-perfect, every time; easier starts; incredibly quick starts with the weak, OEM coils), and you will likely see improvements not only in mileage, but also performance.
