I have never done a Cb seat, but I used to recover my dirt bike seats constantly. Briars and wrecking tears them up constantly. I was about 12 or 13 years old when I did my first one and it came out fine. It is not too bad, just need a good staple gun and some patience. laying the new cover in the sun first is good. It will helps get out the wrinkles that will be in where the manufacturer stuffs it in a box,and it will make it soft and pliable. Go for it! If you DIY it and you are not happy with your results the cover will not be ruined. Just pull the staples out and take it to a seat cover shop then. Good luck.
