Next time pop the gas cap and see if it clears up.

  Hey guys,

Having a bit of a problem at times with my bike. Its a 75 SS and it has pods on it. You can laugh if ya want, but I just finished it after years of work and I wanted to ride it, so I taped off the filters to immitate stock air intake. I don't know if this is relevant, but I wanted to include that just in case. Here is my problem..... From time to time, I will start my bike, get about 100 yds down the road and it will start sputtering like CRAZY and I do everything in my power to keep it running but usually fail. I start it back up, fight to keep it goin and after a minute or so of sputter sputter sputter, choke on choke off, it will start running great again. Feels like my 900RR used to feel when my vent hose was pinched, but I thought the caps on these tanks were vented so I dont think thats the problem. Any ideas?
