Howdy
I am new to this board, as I am also new to a 71 750.  I own a 72 cb100 that I just finished rebuilding the top end and everything that goes with it.  However, my friend has this 750 that is just sitting in pieces and he said if i wanted to I could rebuild it.
yesterday I spent a good amount of time cleaning the carbs, and the jets, and I spent even more time trying to get the carbs back on.  This bike has no air box, as each carb has it's own air filter.  Getting the carbs back on is killing me because the rubber hoses that connect the carbs to the intake valve totally suck.  They are so stiff!  i tried a lot of different ways to try and get them back on and attached, but to no avail.
So if anyone who knows what Im talking about here could guide me in some helpful tricks I would be much appreciative.  Thank you.
Also, are those rubber hoses all that hold the carbs in place? this is not my bike and I don't know the history, just trying to make sense of it.
