Get a long dowel, put it to your ear, then put the other end on the motor and firgure out just where the noise is coming from...Then maybe they can tell you if it is something to worry about.  My guess is the clutch is what you are hearing.  Does it get better if you pull in the lever?

adjustment(have tried everyway possible) I still get noise when you first crank up and it's cold.
Once the bike is warm you hear nothing and it' runs like a champ. Is this something I need to be concerned with. Bike has 23,000 miles. Shiny and Tools, what your thoughts.
