My wife (God love her) found a pair of 10EE leather boots at an auction for $25. New in box, zipper on the side, over the ankle, and a good sole. Not stiff at all, so shifting is a breeze. The only fly in the ointment is me having to adjust the shift level a bit to compensate for the height of the boot. I would occasionally miss an upshift by not letting the lever reset itself.
I guess she's supporting my riding habit after all.
Maybe she likes the grin on my face after I've gone for a ride. I'm sure she worries a bit about all the crazies on the road: so do I.
