A clicker torque wrench is only $20-$30.  It may not be terribly accurate, but it is one hell of a lot more accurate than "eye-balling it".  If you apply the proper torque to all of the nuts, and bolts, you'll be in a lot better shape.  With proper torque applied, the axle won't move in a pucker moment.  Cheers!
