this might me a dumb question but im new at this (oil related)

I have a 1975 honda cb750 I have it on a rigid frame and i have an aftermarket oil tank it has 2 fittings on the top of the tank and 1 on the bottom. I am trying to run my lines but i dont know which is the return and which is the feed. and on the motor i cant find in the manual which line is the feed and which is the return any help will be much appreciated thank you.
