I just eyeball mine when I do it. Going by the pointer befuddles my simple mind. I pop all 8 port covers off and just do them one at a time. Front to back,left to right-whatever is easy to get at. Turn the crank by hand and when I see a rocker no longer moving up (closed) i turn the crank just a smidge more,just to be sure,while making sure it stays up,and adjust that one valve. Rinse and repeat 7 more times.
