Thanks guys. I'd rather keep the plate. All original, and then no questions about it being iffy or not. Paint stripper might be the route I have to take eventually. I don't have have access to a sandblaster large enough for a frame. This is something I want to try to do this winter anyway, just trying to get things planned out. I've had basically a parts bike for about a year now. Lol! Bought a whole titled bike a few weeks ago that didn't run and swapped the motor and harness over and it runs and rides now. Driving to Portland to buy a wheel tomorrow to swap new tires on to and hopefully I can be riding it around town this weekend! It's been a long time coming!
