1975 Honda 750 Super Sport alternator charging issues

I found two wires that someone repaired in the wiring harness going to the stater/rotor behind the shifter/tranny cover, how this was charging before is beyond me because one wire was about one inch from the connector the other was just outside the connector. I did the repair and now it's charging about 13.4 volts @ 3000 RPMs YEAH! I didn't want to remove this engine cover at first because I didn't have a new gasket to install, however I had no choice because the wiring is behind the cover. We'll the gasket did tear and now I do have a small oil leak. I reinstalled the cover to see if I had seccess. So now I need the two gaskets one for the alternator/stater and transmission shifter cover. Also I want to change the retaining screws with allen units. The original screw heads are burggered up.
