Help wiring a dyna ign to aftermarket coils please- completely lost at this point

The dyna has three wires.Red,blue and yellow. I understand the blue lead pulses the 1-4 coil,and the yellow does the 2-3. Red lead is to switched 12v. But I'm having a brain fart on the coils. + on the coils goes to the same switched 12v and the blue and yellow leads pulse the coils via the - terminal? Am I right or wrong? I'm spoiled to GM HEI ignition with coil and cap. Been a looong time since I've wired a cannister style coil
