Need some help guys. Neutral safety light. UPDATE Fixed

My starter selonoid was going bad. It didn't always activate the starter so I bought a universal one and installed it. Now when I pull the clutch in the neutral safety light comes on. It never did this before. So I put the old selonoid back on to see if it would be back to normal. No luck. The light still comes on when the clutch is pulled. Did I fry something or screw something up? Any info would be helpful.
      Well after some digging I found the problem. I fried my clutch diode. I purchased a new one and no more light.
