gas leaking from the overflow

I have a 1979 cb750K that I rebuilt the carbs on and now when I start it the gas flows out of the overflow. I checked the o rings on the drain screw and there fine. Any ideas?

Also in doing some reading on the forum I read that you can't use pod filters on these bikes. Is that true? If so anyone want to buy a set?
