Is it possible to turn rotors?

I am working over my brakes on my cb750F and I just took the rear pads off and they are shot and as well as the rotor.  The rear has grooves in it from where the knuckle head rode it with no pad on the rear.  Is it possible to turn the rotors and still maintain quality of the rotor?
