Roll start

Hi I just bought a 1980 cb750, my first bike ever. It wont always start, it will push start and the battery has checked out to be good. The lights turn on and dim when I push the start, so obviously it has power to the lights, but it doesn't click or roll over. Any advice is welcome. Thanks
