I had a Comstar on the front of a 76 model with a single docs rotor. It went on a 81 model set of forks with minimal spacing needed. I bolted the dual rotors off the 81 directly to that wheel and it lined up with the calipers fine. There was roughly 1/8" difference in O.D. between the early rotor and the late model rotor. So that should not be a problem. I had to shave some width off the speedo drive to align the rotors to the calipers (and to center the rim in the forks)  and it needed a small spacer for the other side. I took pics and measurements when I did it. You should be able to find them in my "hackjob " thread.
