I'm in Kendallville, about 30 miles north of Ft Wayne. How about you?
Maybe I misread but is the guy who sold it to you alive? He should fill out the bill of sale.
The BMV will run a title check but it only goes back a few years. If it isn't in the database you are clear. If it is, then you need to do the certified letter dance. At least thats the way understand it.
