Don't scrimp on gaskets or seals. It's a royal pain to take these carbs out and reinstall only to find something leaks. The worst ones are the cross tube o-rings. Thirty year old rubber doesn't take kindly to being disturbed and even if you don't separate the bank, the fuel supply and accelerator pump tubes are likely to leak from the stress of tugging and shoving the bank to get it out and back in. Then you're painting the air blue while you do it over again to replace the o-rings.
