Thank you for the information. I haven't had an inline four since I was a freshman in college.
I think the DOHC bikes are too heavy for those shocks. I do appreciate the offer. Money isn't really the issue for me. It's lack of knowledge and skill. I am good with the small four strokes my kids play with. Now have to work on a real bike.
Have a great weekend.

For the fronts you can replace the internals. I am about to do it for my DOHC. The internal springs. You have a couple options.

 Check RaceTech Suspensions.  http://www.racetech.com

There is also Progressive Suspensions.  If you can not find it in the net I can check the addresses around.

That will bring in better than new suspension performance.

The SOHC bikes I believe are lighter than DOHC bikes.  Do you ( or anyone around ) know if DOHC ( CB750F) rear shocks fit SOHC ?  I have a set of used but good rear shocks.  If those work, you can have them if you want them, just shipping charges ( From CA 90278.)

I think Hoosier has both kind of bikes. Hopes he is reading and can shed some light over here.

   Happy ThanksGiving.
