Static syncronization

OK I am worn down from searching for a description on how to do a static sync on my 79 750K. I do have a factory manual and am not finding it there either.....??  The plan is to pull the carb bank off the bike, clean the bowl and jets, replace the float needles, bowl seals, and blow everything out, then do a static sync before replacing the set back on the bike. Any help would be appreciated greatly.
