Thanks for your ideas Tools. I am waiting for parts for the carbs and when that is all back together I'll get back to you with an update.

It sounds like your pilot jets are still plugged since it will not idle. The synce does not have much to do with that condition. All it is doing is making all the cylinders perform the same to balance the engine. You might also check, for vacuum leaks. That would also affect idle.
