Well, since this is the first bike I've had since riding in the late Sixties I'd better get my motorcycle license first.  I don't know about your states but Texas makes everyone take a 3 day riding safety course with most of the course demonstrating safety on a bike course (which weeds out people who don't belong on bikes anyway) and probably saves a lot of lives which is a great idea.
I'll probably have the bike in good shape before I do that which should be before summer.
