Definitely between a 1979 and 1982 DOHC. If you were in Europe, I'd say it was a KZ based on that boattail, the comstar rims, and the dual front discs. Because its a bike from Japan though, I just don't know.
If I had to guess, I'd say it was a 1981 CB750 KZ based on this:

I find the pods you have on it interesting. If you're having trouble with the carbs and the carbs haven't been significantly jetted it might be easier to put a stock airbox back on. Getting pods to run right on these CV carbs is apparently not easy (but it's not going to stop me from trying...).
