That is good to know. That is not just for welding. The same thing could happen with any kind of work that has high heat in it.

This is the second one that I have used my mig welder the weld up pin holes on. I try to clean them out and remove caps petcocks. Anything that will let air move through or out of the tank.

If anyone tries this type of work on a used tank they should take safty steps first and be careful. You don't want a boom while working that is for sure.
