Oven cleaner will strip it off.  They also sell a product made just for this, but what fun is that? If you use the oven cleaner it takes a while. Probably 10 min or more and you have to keep it saturated while you do it. When done it looms all black and splotchy. The "Burns "are superficial and clean off easily with a lillte steel wool. There's the cheap route. If you get the actual anodize remover (got ours from Eastwood) it literally tales seconds. Spray it on and watch the another slide right off.
