In California they add 10% ethanol.

Ethanol has less energy when burned than gasoline.
So you get less milage.

Ethanol also attracts water. It causes problems if you do not
add something to the gas like SEAFOAM to keep the moisture in suspension.
After 60 days of the gas just sitting, expect trouble.
