     There is a bigg different in all headlamps,car to bike  A cars high beam is wide compared to a "QUALITY" bike lamp,witch will shot a narrow band of light up the middle of lane,But curb to curb like a car on Low Beam,
   
    Adjusting a head lamp is the most safest thing you can do for night riding(witch I don't like)
  When bike low beam is set right  your high beam center brightness should be noticeable on the road (other wise it's set to high And most likely your lows beam is shining in on coming traffic.
     Doing auto body setting headlights is an art for max Safety.

       Myself I have the brightest(car) bulb I can get 7" for Vetter faring from Orally's coast 3x's as     much 25/30 bucks I think (silver something)
   but my life is worth it.  I will get a cut glass len for my spring/summer faring ,
