Sorry for the confusion, yes I had power from the switch on both the old and new solenoid. Power is getting to the solenoid it's just not going out to the starter unless its jumped across, yet all my lights come on when the key is turned. That's what's got me scratching my head as to what else it could be.
I know enough to get me in trouble.
